Business Tour in Ayodhya

Ayodhya, also known as Saket, is an ancient city of India, believed to be the birthplace of Rama and setting of the epic Ramayana. It is adjacent to Faizabad city at south end in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya is a very important pilgrimage for Hindus. Hindu scriptures rank Ayodhya as one of the seven most sacred places in India. Hindus believe a trip to the city guarantees moksha. Ayodhya used to be the capital of the ancient Kosala Kingdom. It has an average elevation of 93 meters (305 feet).

According to the Ramayan, the ancient town was built by Manu, the first king to rule the earth. The town, known as Kaushaldesa in ancient times, was the capital of the Ikshvaku dynasty for hundreds of years who claimed descent from the sun.

According to legend, Ikshavaku was the eldest son of Manu and he based himself in Ayodhya. Another legend states that our planet was named ‘Prithvi’ after the sixth in line to the throne, Prithu. In the same dynasty was Harishchandra, who was the 31st king, renowned widely for his truthfulness.

The name of the dynasty changed to Raghuvansha after King Raghu. Dasarath was King Raghu’s grandson and also the father of Lord Ram. The kingdom reached its pinnacle under the reign of Lord Ram as it has been immortalized by Valmiki’s composition of the Ramayan.

The main attractions of Ayodhya are – Nageshwarnath Temple, Chakravarti Mahraj Dashrath Mahal, Angad Tila, Tulsi Smarak Bhawan, Ram ki Paidi, Kaleramji ka Mandir, Janki Mahal, Gurudwara Brahma Kund, Rishabhadeo Jain Temple, Brahma Kund, The Hanuman Garhi, Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi, Kanak Bhavan Temple and much more…

Culture has always been a major object of travel, as the development of the Grand Tour from the 16th century onwards attests. In the 20th century, some people have claimed, culture ceased to be the objective of tourism: tourism is now culture. Cultural attractions play an important role in tourism at all levels, from the global highlights of world culture to attractions that underpin local identities.
